One India. Four Different Entertainment Markets.
India cannot be treated as one entertainment market. The South, North, West and East differ in spending power, travel behaviour, climate and expectations from a day out. The park format that works in Bengaluru may not be the right answer for Lucknow, Kolkata or Ahmedabad.

India Is Not One Entertainment Market
When planning an amusement park, theme park or family entertainment destination in India, one of the easiest mistakes is to begin with a national formula: a certain number of rides, a water park, some food, games and perhaps a resort.
India is too diverse for that approach.
The reason a family travels, how much they can comfortably spend, how long they stay and what they expect from entertainment changes significantly across regions.
The data already shows this difference. In 2023, South India accounted for about 36.2% of India's domestic tourist visits, North India around 33.1%, West and Central India approximately 19.4%, and East India roughly 11%.
Household consumption also varies substantially. MoSPI's 2023–24 Household Consumption Expenditure Survey shows urban monthly per-capita consumption ranging from around ₹5,000–₹6,000 in several eastern and northern states to more than ₹8,000–₹9,000 in markets such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Delhi and Haryana.
So instead of asking, “What park works in India?”, perhaps the better question is:
“What entertainment does this India want?”
